There is something incredibly fascinating about studying the human face, the expression, the emotion, and the thoughts behind the person. The challenge of re-creating a celebrity or an iconic figure, magnifies the art experience. Even though there is intrinsic beauty in painting a traditional portrait, I find that capturing the individual in all their rawness, through performing heightens the artistic experience.
